Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank White (ranked 3457 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Lewis (ranked 4490 p4p, 0 weight class). White kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is This is America. 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Lewis! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White throws a sloppy head kick and Lewis moves out of range easily. A head kick misses from White. White throws a head kick that misses. Lewis has closed the distance and engaged White in a clinch.
Lewis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. White pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lewis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but White paws at him with a jab and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lewis fails with an attempt to clinch.

White throws a head kick that misses. Michael Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lewis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lewis tries to clinch there but White circles away.

Lewis tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Michael Lewis has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A kick lands to the mid section there for White. Lewis takes a head kick and keeps coming.
