Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nicky Spite!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Williams!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spite looks to throw the jab but Williams is out of range.
Spite tries for a takedown but Williams sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Spite goes for a double leg but Williams avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Williams continues to drive forward.
Williams ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Jim Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spite shoots and misses
letting Williams counter with a right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nicky Spite. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Williams gets a clinch.

Spite jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Williams walks away with a smile on his face. Spite gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Williams is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Spite rather than just go for the knockout.
Spite shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Williams digs a right hand underneath Spite's ribcage. Spite let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Williams wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spite has him pressed against the cage.

Spite misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Spite tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Williams just stands there and leans against the cage.
Williams has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Spite jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Williams walks away with a smile on his face. Spite gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Spite swings for the body but Williams moves out of range.

Spite tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Spite shoots and misses

Williams darts in and clinches Spite up against the cage.
Spite tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Williams smiles and moves away.
Williams works the jab nicely.
Williams throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Spite stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Spite is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Williams.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spite tries to clinch up but Williams circles away and keeps his distance.
A little jabbing left from Williams on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Williams lands with a nice body punch.
Williams lands with a good body shot.
Spite tries to clinch up.
Williams scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jab by Williams.
Spite shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Williams as he avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Williams dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Williams lands a nice hook to Spite's body. Spite takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Williams has taken the fight to the clinch.
Spite is trying to pull guard but Williams has him pressed against the cage.

Spite has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Williams uses from the top position.

Williams is posturing up here but Spite has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Williams tries to roll out but it's too tight and Williams has to tap! Slick submission there by Spite!
