Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Diggs (ranked 2099 p4p, 221 weight class) and Scott John (ranked 840 p4p, 103 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 19 - 1, fighting out of London, Robert Diggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Scott John! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. John lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. John throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Diggs throws a punch but it's blocked by John. Diggs takes a shot to the head. Diggs lands a nice uppercut. John misses with a knee strike.

John gets through Diggs's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. John scores with a shot to the side of Diggs's head. John lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Diggs definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. John lands on the inside with an uppercut. Diggs has John pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Diggs pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending John tumbling to the mat - Diggs dives into John's guard. John wriggles free and stands up. Diggs wants to slow John down by chopping away at his legs. John swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's one minute gone in the round. John swings and misses with a shot to the body and Diggs connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A big right from John misses. John connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Diggs throws an off balance right hand
and John counters with a thumping low kick. John scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Diggs works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Diggs misses with a takedown attempt letting John counter with a right hand. Diggs scores with a nice right hand.
John lands a head shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! John scores with a sloppy right hand. Diggs should have avoided that one. Diggs lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diggs tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Diggs throws a leg kick that is checked and John counters with an inside leg kick. John scores with a nice right hand.
Diggs steps to the side to avoid the strikes from John. It looked like Diggs was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from John. Diggs dives in and scores a takedown into John's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. John wants to stand but Diggs is controlling the position. Diggs wants to control from the top but John keeps moving. John wants to stand up but Diggs is controlling him. John is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. John wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. John looking to hit a scissor sweep but Diggs is one step ahead there. John keeping moving, preventing Diggs from controlling successfully. John has his feet on Diggs's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. John darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Diggs throws an off balance right hand
and John counters with a nice low kick that buckles Diggs's knee momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. John ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Diggs moves away. John misses with a looping right. John swings for the body but Diggs moves out of range.
Diggs takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Diggs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. John has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. John swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Diggs. John scores with a nice head shot.
It looks like Robert Diggs has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Diggs swats away the attempt to clinch by John. John connects with a solid leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scott John dominated that round. The cut man is working on Robert Diggs's cut. That's time! Diggs's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
John displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Diggs throws out the jab. John cracks Diggs with an open hand slap. John tries to clinch but Diggs moves away and Diggs counters with a lovely straight right hand! Diggs checks a low kick from John. Diggs is looking to counter punch. John throws a shot to the body.
John throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

and John counters with a straight punch to the midsection. John dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fight moves into the clinch position. This has been an exciting period of action! John lands with a left to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. John lands a right hand. John lands a damaging elbow. A short uppercut from John. Diggs manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Diggs might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. John not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. John is continuing to stall. John must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. John got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diggs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, John has managed to get both his arms back between Diggs's legs - danger averted. John is stalling in the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diggs looking for a guillotine here but John defends easily.
John trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Diggs working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from John. Diggs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Diggs utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. John content to stall in guard here. John won't allow Diggs to sweep him here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Diggs swings away with a leg kick that misses. John scores with a jab to the jaw. Diggs waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract John. John fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Diggs throws a lazy right hand but John sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Diggs throws a solid leg kick but John takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Diggs. Diggs throws a sloppy head kick and Diggs takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. John lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. John lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A jab from John finds it's way through Diggs's defenses. John drops Diggs with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Diggs looks back up at him and smiles so John waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Diggs is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Diggs gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! John points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Diggs wakes up just in time to hear John thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Scott John! Our winner, Scott John, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
