The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bessant lands a jab to Cruel Rookie's midsection.
Bessant digs a good body shot into Cruel Rookie's ribs.
Cruel Rookie misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bessant.
Bessant throws a right hand that Cruel Rookie ducks under and follows up with a left that Cruel Rookie also avoids with ease.
Cruel Rookie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Cruel Rookie throws a looping overhand right but Bessant ducks down to avoid it.
Cruel Rookie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bessant avoids it really well and circles away.

Bessant lands a left and a right that send Cruel Rookie crashing to the mat, dazed. Bessant thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oooooh!!! Bessant has knocked Cruel Rookie down with a huge combo! Bessant steps away and waves a wobbly Cruel Rookie back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Bessant lands a big uppercut and Cruel Rookie crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Cruel Rookie looks OK. Bessant waves Cruel Rookie back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bessant drops Cruel Rookie with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cruel Rookie looks back up at him and smiles so Bessant waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Bessant pounces like a tiger and cracks Cruel Rookie with a vicious hook! Cruel Rookie is down but not out! Bessant follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
