Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Compton gets caught napping as Silva dives in and scores a takedown. Compton manages to retain guard.
Compton wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Silva manages to pass to side control.


Compton looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Silva is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Compton is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Silva jumps into side control!

Silva goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Compton has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Silva but great work by Compton.

Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Compton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Silva stalling away here and it's allowed Compton to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Compton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Silva postures up in Compton's guard and throws a big left but Compton blocks it.

Silva manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Compton to the mat! Compton manages to get full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva is looking to pass into half guard but Compton pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Compton is in guard.

Silva wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Compton is now in half guard.
Silva wants to get back to full guard.

Compton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Silva manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Compton keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Silva lands a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Compton being controlled here, momentarily.

Compton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.
Compton is breathing heavily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Compton changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silva fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Compton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silva defends it easily.

Silva is nestled in close to Compton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Silva is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Compton has his hands clasped together but Silva extends and breaks Compton's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Silva.
