The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bang misses with a takedown attempt - Heed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Heed bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bang's head backwards.
Heed loads up on a big right hand but Bang slips the punch.

Bang darts in looking for a takedown but Heed gets double underhooks and turns Bang into the cage.

Bang closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Heed throws a hook but Bang avoids it easily.
Bang fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Heed to the ground. Bang is now in Heed's guard.

Heed keeping moving, preventing Bang from controlling successfully.
Bang loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Bang won't allow Heed to get back to his feet.
Bang is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bang throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Heed works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Bang counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bang lands with an uppercut that bounces Heed off the cage and back into range.
Bang shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Heed pinned against the cage. Heed gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Heed comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Heed throws a body shot but no joy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bang doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Heed cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Bang's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Heed slaps away a takedown attempt from Bang, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Heed walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bang uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Heed.
Dang Bang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bang looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Bang gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Bang closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Bang is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Heed is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Heed is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Heed is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bang is controlling him well.

Heed might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

As Bang backs off Heed throws a huge counter combo but Bang manages to avoid it all.
