Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Flavor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mo Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Flavor Emelianenko! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mo Mason! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mason is looking to clinch but Emelianenko is avoiding it.
Emelianenko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Emelianenko has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mason. Emelianenko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Emelianenko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mason displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Emelianenko throws out the jab. Mason shoots in for a takedown but Emelianenko shows good takedown defense. Emelianenko could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Emelianenko throws a right and a left that both miss. A combination from Emelianenko does no damage. Emelianenko cracks Mason with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Mason fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Emelianenko on the side of the head. Emelianenko swings widly with a right hand
and Mason counters with a single leg into guard. Emelianenko didn't expect that. Emelianenko had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mason is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Emelianenko Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mason's back instead. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mason trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Mason rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Mason gets full guard. Mason is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko is looking to work some ground and pound but Mason has wrist control. Emelianenko is breathing heavily. Mason controls Emelianenko momentarily but Emelianenko frees himself. Emelianenko is sitting in close to Mason's body. Mason has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Emelianenko is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Emelianenko is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Mason.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Mo Mason! Mo Mason is the new heavyweight champion!
