PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Van Bromer (ranked 5790 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Jane (ranked 4276 p4p, 411 weight class). Van Bromer comes to the cage accompanied by Go To War - Nothing More. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Van Bromer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Jane!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jane takes a swing at Van Bromer's ribcage but misses.
Good leg kick by Van Bromer there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Van Bromer's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Van Bromer duly obliges.
Van Bromer lunges at Jane with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jane's hand.
Van Bromer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jane.
Van Bromer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jane throws out a counter right but Van Bromer avoids it with no problem.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jane takes the fight into the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Van Bromer will probably get the nod.

Van Bromer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jane is just riding it out for now. Van Bromer eventually gives up the hold.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Van Bromer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
