Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Konstantinov (ranked 5358 p4p, 403 weight class) and Juan Pique (ranked 6335 p4p, 439 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vladimir Konstantinov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Juan Pique! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Konstantinov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pique sees it coming and avoids it easily. Konstantinov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pique. Konstantinov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pique makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Konstantinov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Konstantinov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pique backs up against the cage.
Pique swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pique uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Konstantinov. Konstantinov misses with a looping right. Konstantinov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pique's half guard. Pique kicks Konstantinov off and gets back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pique lands a nice leg kick that just misses Konstantinov's sensitive parts. Konstantinov slips under a jab. Pique moves forwards but Konstantinov connects with a nice, crisp jab. Pique scores with a leg kick.
Konstantinov connects with a body shot. Pique throws a body punch but Konstantinov moves out of range. Pique steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Konstantinov. Konstantinov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pique sees it coming and avoids it easily. Konstantinov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pique ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Konstantinov moves away. A punch combination from Konstantinov misses. Pique throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Pique throws a body punch but Konstantinov moves out of range. Konstantinov seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Konstantinov scores with a punch to the head. Juan Pique is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pique waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Konstantinov. Konstantinov misses the shot to the body. Pique displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Konstantinov throws out the jab. Pique tries a low kick but Konstantinov avoids it. Konstantinov throws a hook but Pique avoids it easily. Konstantinov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Pique now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Vladimir Konstantinov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice body kick from Pique. Pique throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Pique lands with a good body shot. Pique connects with a good right hand that stumbles Konstantinov. Konstantinov circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Konstantinov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pique's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Pique wants to hit a switch here but Konstantinov passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pique there! Pique wants to control but Konstantinov is having none of it. Konstantinov throwing strikes here but Pique is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Pique bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Pique's corner is telling him to maintain position. Konstantinov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Konstantinov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pique controls the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Konstantinov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Konstantinov has a closed guard, preventing Pique from standing up. Pique tries to free his leg and advance position but Konstantinov is retaining full guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Pique seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Konstantinov working for a triangle but Pique defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Pique controlling from the top position. Pique passes into half guard. Well, if Pique is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Konstantinov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Juan Pique will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pique avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Vladimir Konstantinov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Konstantinov throws a looping overhand right but Pique ducks down to avoid it. Konstantinov fails to land with a series of punches.
A punch lands to the side of Konstantinov 's head but he takes it in his stride. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Konstantinov. Konstantinov connects with a looping right hand.
Pique takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Pique throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pique swings for the body but Konstantinov moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pique throws a looping overhand right but Konstantinov ducks down to avoid it. Konstantinov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Konstantinov showed some decent athleticism there. Konstantinov is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Nice strikes from Konstantinov there. Pique wants to control but Konstantinov is keeping busy.
Pique makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pique. Pique looking for a sweep. Not yet Pique, not yet. Pique looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pique utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Konstantinov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Konstantinov working some strikes from top position. Pique looking to sweep here. No luck so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pique is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Konstantinov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pique can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pique tries to free his leg and advance position but Konstantinov is retaining full guard. Konstantinov throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Pique wants to stand but Konstantinov is controlling his posture from full guard. Pique stays in close to Konstantinov's body and controls the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Vladimir Konstantinov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pique pushes down on Konstantinov's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Konstantinov is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pique goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Konstantinov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pique.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Konstantinov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A telegraphed right hand from Pique misses the target. Konstantinov ducks right into an uppercut from Pique. Pique feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Konstantinov's calf. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Juan Pique will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Pique uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Konstantinov. Pique cracks Konstantinov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Pique with a hook. Konstantinov walks forward, straight into a front kick from Pique. Konstantinov cracks Pique with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Konstantinov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pique trying to control the position here. Konstantinov trying to control the position from guard on top but Pique is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pique manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Konstantinov manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Konstantinov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pique defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pique sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Konstantinov's guard. Konstantinov is looking for a sweep. Pique is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pique perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Konstantinov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Konstantinov actively working from the bottom here. Pique passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Konstantinov! Pique tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pique looking to control but Konstantinov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Konstantinov is desperately trying to improve his position but Pique has a good base and remains in mount. Pique content just to control the position here. Konstantinov is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Konstantinov is looking to improve his position.
Konstantinov gets full guard. Pique stays in close to Konstantinov's body and controls the position. Pique's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Konstantinov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pique can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pique is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pique pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Konstantinov is keeping the position for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that's the end of the fight! Juan Pique comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pique has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
