The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheppard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sheppard swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Sheppard swats away the attempt to clinch by Loren.
Loren wants to clinch up but Sheppard keeps it at a distance.
Loren tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Sheppard counters with a takedown into side control.
Sheppard is putting a hurting on Loren here, landing some big shots from side control.
Loren really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sheppard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Loren wants to get back to his feet but Sheppard is dominant here and he's now got Loren's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Loren tries to clinch but Sheppard is having none of it.

Sheppard has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Loren's face.

Sheppard seems keen to control Loren's posture.

Sheppard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sheppard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sheppard bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Loren's guard.
Yong Sheppard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Loren is looking to stand back up but Sheppard counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Loren.

Sheppard thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Loren's head.

Loren pushes Sheppard off but Sheppard dives into side control.
Loren bucks up and tries to throw Sheppard off but instead Sheppard has got his back!

Loren is trying to get back to his feet but Sheppard has full control of the position and if anything, Loren has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Sheppard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Loren can do to turn this around?
Sheppard has got one arm under Loren's chin. This could be trouble... Loren trying to control the other hand but Sheppard gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Loren has tapped out! The fight is over!
