Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velderman throws a chopping leg kick but Sharp manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Velderman misses with a body kick.
Sharp was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Sharp pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Velderman fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sharp throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Velderman has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
No joy there for Sharp, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Velderman lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Sharp.
Velderman connects with an inside leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sharp.
A slow jab from Velderman misses its intended target.
Sharp rushes Velderman and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Sharp has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Velderman tries to throw a body punch but Sharp avoids it by throwing Velderman back against the ropes.
Velderman swings wildly with an uppercut but Sharp uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sharp breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Velderman avoids a kick to the body.
Sharp fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

and Sharp counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sharp connects with a good right hand that stumbles Velderman. Velderman circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sharp looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Velderman! But no joy.
Sharp moves out of range of the body kick.
Sharp tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Velderman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A solid leg kick lands there for Velderman.
Sharp throws a sloppy head kick and Velderman moves out of range easily.
Sharp misses with an uppercut. Velderman saw that one coming.
Sharp closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Velderman wants to slow Sharp down by chopping away at his legs.
Sharp appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

and Sharp cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Velderman seems to have recovered his senses.
Velderman blocks a body shot from Sharp.
Sharp breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A slapping leg kick lands for Velderman.
Sharp slips under a jab from Velderman.
Sharp has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Velderman.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sharp lands a left hand that snaps the head of Velderman backwards.
Velderman fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Sharp.
Sharp breaks the clinch.
Velderman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sharp connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Velderman onto his butt! Velderman bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.
Sharp tries to clinch but Velderman is having none of it.
Sharp weaves into range and cracks Velderman right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Velderman goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Sharp is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Asa Sharp!
A very excited looking Asa Sharp made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
