Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Anderson (ranked 4756 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul McKenzie (ranked 4602 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Raul McKenzie! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKenzie takes a swing at Anderson's ribcage but misses. McKenzie throws a wild body kick that Anderson sees coming a mile off. Anderson attempts a counter takedown but McKenzie avoids it well and moves away. McKenzie looks to land a right hand but Anderson moved out of range. Anderson attempts a counter takedown but McKenzie avoids it well and moves away. McKenzie drives through and clinches with Anderson against the cage.
McKenzie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McKenzie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. He's pushed McKenzie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. McKenzie throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Anderson on the side of the head. McKenzie tries to clinch but Anderson moves out of range. Anderson attempts a counter takedown but McKenzie avoids it well and moves away. McKenzie moves into range and clinches up with Anderson. Anderson is struggling to control the position. McKenzie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Anderson just stands there and leans against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McKenzie tries to score a body lock takedown but Anderson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Anderson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. McKenzie wants a takedown but no success here.

McKenzie wants to get up but he can't break Anderson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. McKenzie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Anderson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McKenzie has Anderson in his guard. Anderson trying to control but McKenzie is working from the bottom.

McKenzie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McKenzie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Anderson stands and throws McKenzie's legs to the side, diving into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Anderson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McKenzie tries to lock up and control but Anderson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. McKenzie misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Anderson. I think Anderson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
