The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perera jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A jab from Perera misses.
Perera ducks under a wild hook from Castillo.
Castillo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Castillo takes a swing at Perera's ribcage but misses.
Castillo throws a wild body kick that Perera sees coming a mile off.
Perera catches Castillo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Ricardo Castillo has been cut.
Perera lands a big head kick that sends Castillo tumbling to the mat! Perera takes a step backwards and waves Castillo back to his feet - he wants the finish!
We've been told by Castillo's head coaches at The House Of Pain that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Castillo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Perera doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Castillo connects with a crisp jab.
Castillo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Perera's sensitive parts.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A shot to the body from Castillo misses
and Perera counters with a huge left! Castillo is in big trouble! He's backing up but Perera isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Castillo from any more damage. A dominating finish by Perera!
