Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dustin Chartrand!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Danis!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danis fails with the takedown
and Chartrand counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Chartrand swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Danis.
Danis tries to clinch but Chartrand moves away
and Chartrand counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Danis goes for a double leg but Chartrand avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Chartrand continues to drive forward.
Danis fails with the takedown
and Chartrand scores with a counter punch that sends Danis to the canvas! Chartrand smells blood - he's punishing Danis with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Danis has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dustin Chartrand!

In his post fight interview, Dustin Chartrand started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
