PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renaldo Dejesus (ranked 23171 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tshokolo Reed (ranked 4745 p4p, 0 weight class). Reed has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Tshokolo Reed will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reed moves into range and clinches up with Dejesus. Reed breaks from the clinch.
Reed darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Dejesus slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Dejesus is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Reed must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dejesus pushes a forearm under Reed's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Reed is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Renaldo Dejesus!
