Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Herlock Von Ryan (ranked 1634 p4p, 212 weight class) and Adel Kassib (ranked 5877 p4p, 493 weight class). Von Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by The Crystal Method - Play For Real (Dirtyphonics Remix). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adel Kassib!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Ryan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kassib changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Kassib looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Von Ryan is looking for a sweep. Kassib is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kassib is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Von Ryan reverses the position - he's now on top in Kassib's guard.
Kassib is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Von Ryan works over Kassib with some ground and pound from guard.

Kassib looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Von Ryan is looking to stand up but Kassib won't let him.
Kassib has momentary wrist control but Von Ryan slips an elbow through the middle.
Von Ryan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kassib has his foot on Von Ryan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Von Ryan works his way back into a safe position though.
Kassib wants to sweep here but Von Ryan controlling him for the moment.
Kassib looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Von Ryan has picked Kassib up and slammed him! Kassib can't keep hold of the triangle and Von Ryan manages to pass to side control!
Von Ryan in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Von Ryan is trying to get an arm triangle but Kassib is defending well.
Von Ryan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kassib is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Von Ryan working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
We've been hearing that Von Ryan has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Kassib takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kassib tries to improve position but can't.
Von Ryan advances nicely into full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Herlock Von Ryan dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
Kassib looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Von Ryan is fending him off so far but Kassib persists. Nope, Von Ryan circles away and we're back to standing.
Adel Kassib seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kassib moves to clinch but Von Ryan breaks away
and Von Ryan counters with a one-two to the body.
Von Ryan lands a jab.
It looks like Adel Kassib has been cut.
Von Ryan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kassib can do to turn this around?

Kassib tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Von Ryan jabs Kassib right on the nose. Kassib blinks but takes it well.
Von Ryan looks for a takedown but Kassib sprawls well.

Kassib goes for a double leg but Von Ryan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Von Ryan continues to drive forward.

and Von Ryan counters with a crisp right that sends Kassib to the canvas! Von Ryan follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Herlock Von Ryan started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
