Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alen Ohanian (ranked 3039 p4p, 339 weight class) and James Harden (ranked 2921 p4p, 331 weight class). Ohanian comes to the cage accompanied by The Eternals - Wrath of Zeus . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ohanian thows a left - swing and a miss!
Harden throws a leg kick but Ohanian checks it.
Ohanian gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Harden.
Ohanian cracks Harden with an open hand slap.
Harden misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ohanian fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Harden has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Harden misses with a looping left.
Ohanian throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Harden tries a quick counter leg kick but Ohanian is wise to it.
Ohanian throws a looping overhand right but Harden ducks down to avoid it.
Harden takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The fighters circling - Ohanian throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Harden bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Harden wants to counter with a clinch but Ohanian pushes him away.
Harden throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Harden looks to land a right hand but Ohanian moved out of range.
Alen Ohanian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harden ducks under a wild hook from Ohanian.

Harden throws a jab but it's blocked by Ohanian.

Harden keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A little jabbing left from Harden on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
The crowd cheers as Ohanian lands an impressive looking overhand right. Harden doesn't seem phased though.
Ohanian lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Ohanian shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Harden throws a lazy right hand but Ohanian sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Harden swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Harden lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Harden leaves Ohanian with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alen Ohanian. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ohanian throws a hook but Harden blocks it.
Harden gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Harden wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Harden is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ohanian.

Ohanian lands a really nice looking cross but Harden seems unphased.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harden jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A little feinted left hand from Ohanian on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

A nice combination there by Ohanian.
Harden throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Harden lands a leg kick that knocks Ohanian off balance momentarily.
Harden throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ohanian shoots in but no luck this time.
Ohanian moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Harden jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Harden gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Harden scores with a nice strike.
Ohanian is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Ohanian is looking to slow Harden down with leg kicks.
Ohanian connects with a good right hand that stumbles Harden. Harden circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alen Ohanian will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ohanian throws a low kick but it's checked well by Harden.

Ohanian is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Harden's half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Ohanian's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Harden tries to hold on but Ohanian pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Ohanian working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harden doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harden manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Harden wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Ohanian's closed guard. He's half up but Ohanian has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Ohanian pivots and extends the arm, Harden falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Ohanian! Well done that man!
