Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Craddock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, M I Callis! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Callis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Craddock shoots in but Callis avoids the takedown attempt easily. Craddock is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Callis rushes Craddock and presses him up against the cage. Craddock is working for takedown but Callis is calmly controlling the position for now. Callis gets underhooks to prevent Craddock's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Craddock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Callis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Craddock smiles and moves away.
A jab-cross combination lands for Callis and sends Craddock crashing to the mat! Callis follows him down to the mat - Craddock regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Callis sitting and controlling from the half guard. Callis is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Craddock reverses the position - he's now on top in Callis's guard. Callis managing to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Craddock stands up and waves to Callis to follow him. Callis stuffs the takedown. Craddock fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Craddock shoots in but no luck this time. Craddock is breathing heavily. Craddock shoots in for a takedown but Callis shows good takedown defense. Callis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Callis trying to control the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Callis uses his free foot to push down on Craddock's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Craddock. Callis looking to control and managing it successfully. Callis's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Craddock knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Callis on the ground. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Despite being in the dominant position, M I Callis just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Callis rushes Craddock and presses him up against the cage. Callis wants a takedown.
Craddock prevents the takedown attempt.
Craddock throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Callis pulls guard effortlessly. Craddock won't allow Callis to sweep him here. Callis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Callis forces the positional change into back control. Good control from Callis. Callis has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Craddock is in real trouble here. Callis gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Craddock is tapping out! Callis wins by rear naked choke!
