Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abel Frey (ranked 3228 p4p, 127 weight class) and Jesper Knudsen (ranked 3229 p4p, 126 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abel Frey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesper Knudsen! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knudsen misses with a double jab.
Knudsen slaps away a takedown attempt from Frey, before circling back to the center of the mat. Knudsen fails with the takedown. Frey appears to be looking for a big counter. Frey wants to clinch up but Knudsen keeps it at a distance. Knudsen counters with a body kick. Knudsen lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Frey pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Knudsen steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Frey. A slapping leg kick lands for Frey.
Frey tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Knudsen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Knudsen is fending him off so far but Frey persists. Nope, Knudsen circles away and we're back to standing. Knudsen closes the distance and clinches. Frey is trying to push Knudsen away but Knudsen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Knudsen is trying to drag Frey to the mat but Frey just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Frey doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Knudsen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Knudsen lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Frey fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abel Frey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Frey scores with a slapping inside leg kick. The fight stays on the outside here - Frey looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Frey drives through and clinches with Knudsen against the cage.

Frey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Frey cracks a nice hook into Knudsen's ribs. Frey lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Knudsen clinches up against the cage. Knudsen is trying to maintain a safe position but Frey gets an underhook and turns Knudsen into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesper Knudsen dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Frey goes for a double leg but Knudsen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Knudsen continues to drive forward. A countering left hand to the body from Knudsen misses. Frey fails to land the takedown. Frey tries for a takedown but Knudsen circles away easily and Knudsen counters with a shot to the ribs. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Frey fails with a takedown attempt. Knudsen tries to counter with a clinch but Frey shakes him off and moves away. Knudsen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Knudsen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Frey tries to avoid it but Knudsen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Frey to the ground. Frey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Frey feinted with a counter takedown. Knudsen has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Frey throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Knudsen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Frey as he avoids it easily. Knudsen instigates a clinch. Knudsen is trying to stall.

Knudsen controls from within his opponent's guard. Frey could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Knudsen preventing the sweep. Jesper Knudsen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Knudsen darts in and clinches Frey up against the cage. Frey looking for a takedown. Abel Frey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jesper Knudsen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Knudsen stops a takedown attempt from Frey.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Abel Frey. Well Knudsen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
