Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Peterson (ranked 224 p4p, 35 weight class) and Jeremy Jones (ranked 153 p4p, 23 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Peterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeremy Jones! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson scores with a jab to the body. Peterson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Peterson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Peterson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. An inside leg kick from Jones misses. Peterson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Jones looks like he wants to counter punch here. A telegraphed right hand from Peterson misses the target. Peterson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gym in the buildup to the fight. Peterson closes the distance and clinches. Jones breaks from the clinch.
Peterson swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Peterson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jones scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Peterson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head. Peterson misses the shot to the body. Peterson doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.

Jones appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Peterson throws a jab when Jones was well out of range. Jones circles away from the clinch attempt and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jones creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Peterson can't find room to land a body shot as Jones controls the action.

George Peterson dominated that round. The cut man is working on George Peterson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jones throws a fast counter high kick but Peterson manages to duck under it in time. Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Peterson. Peterson looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range. It seemed like Jones was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Jones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Peterson. Peterson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around? Jones walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Peterson tries to counter by clinching up but Jones breaks away and moves out of range. Jones has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jones there as he acknowledges the shot. Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peterson forces Jones back against the cage and clinches. Jones struggles to land a body shot inside as Peterson controls his hands.

This has been an exciting period of action! Peterson misses with a shot to the body and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jones takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Peterson throws a lazy uppercut
and Jones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Peterson fails to land with a series of punches.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Peterson getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Peterson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jones sprawling to the canvas! Jones rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Peterson finish him?!
Jones is rocked! Jones has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Peterson misses with a wild body shot. Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Peterson finish him? Peterson lands a right hook to the body.
Jones seems to have recovered his senses. Peterson wants to clinch. Jones appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. George Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones ducks under a wild hook from Peterson. Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving. Peterson lands an overhand left. Peterson sends Jones crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Peterson is motioning to the referee to let Jones up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Peterson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Peterson throws a jab when Jones was well out of range. Jones shapes to counter with a head kick. Peterson lands a big right hand that sends Jones crashing to the mat! Peterson stays standing though and waves Jones back to his feet! Peterson ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Peterson throws an overhand right that drops Jones like a sack of potatoes! Peterson dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
