Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Tony Cornell (ranked 3263 p4p, 298 weight class) and Al Hereford (ranked 5429 p4p, 408 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Al Hereford!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Cornell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hereford goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Good leg kick by Cornell there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hereford. Cornell does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cornell scores with a shot to the body.
Cornell moves out of range of the body kick.
Cornell looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hereford takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hereford tries a head kick but it misses.
Hereford misses with a wild body shot.
Cornell avoids a kick to the body.
It appears Cornell was looking to counter with a kick there.
Hereford fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cornell manages to avoid it.
Cornell looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Hereford on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Cornell defending well as Hereford loads up on a big left hand.
Cornell scores with a push kick.
Hereford throws a nice looking combination but Cornell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cornell pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hereford back to the ropes. Cornell follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Al Hereford has been cut.
Cornell avoids the head kick by Hereford.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice body punch from Cornell.
Hereford looks winded!
Hereford takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Cornell blocks a head kick by Hereford.
Hereford takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hereford walks into a big right hand from Cornell and goes down! The referee sends Cornell to a neutral corner as Hereford gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.
Hereford is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hereford looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hereford is still on wobbly legs! Can Cornell finish him?
Cornell ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Cornell lands a slapping body shot.
Hereford seems to have recovered his senses.
Cornell drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Hereford onto his butt! Hereford pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
Hereford chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cornell can pounce on him.
Cornell circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Hereford tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Cornell wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tony Cornell!
During a confident post fight interview, Tony Cornell thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
