Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Tong Po (ranked 4929 p4p, 421 weight class) and Beck Lee (ranked 1892 p4p, 217 weight class). Tong Po has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tong Po!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Beck Lee!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po misses with a straight left.
Po throws a poor cross that misses
and Lee makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
A big left from Po misses.
Po is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lee.
As Po backs off Lee throws a huge counter combo but Po manages to avoid it all.
Po misses with a low kick.
Lee appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Lee looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Po fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lee checks it well.
Lee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Po throws a right hand that misses
and Po takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Tong Po has been cut.
Po is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Lee's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee throws out a powerful jab.
Po throws an overhand right that lands on Lee's shoulder, as Lee tries to avoid the shot.
Po misses with a hook
and Lee counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Po lands a right hook to the body.

Po rushes Lee and presses him up against the ropes.

Po breaks the clinch.
Po throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tong Po is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A telegraphed right hand from Po misses the target.
Po is looking to slow Lee down with leg kicks.
Po throws out a powerful jab.
Lee lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Po backs up against the ropes.
Lee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Po moves away.
Po throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lee appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Po throws a lazy uppercut
and Lee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Po drops his hands momentarily and Lee takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Lee jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Lee throws a nice head kick!
Lee changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Po ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Po waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lee.
Po sets himself, and Lee steps forward looking for the clinch! Po avoids it this time.
Lee connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Lee cracks Po with an open hand slap.
Po feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lees jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Beck Lee dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tong Po's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Lee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Po swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Po connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Po jabs Lee right on the nose. Lee blinks but takes it well.
Good work by Lee as he checks the leg kick.
Lee steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Po.
Lee misses the shot to the body.
A counter left hand to the body from Po misses its target.
Lee misses the shot to the body.
Lee keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Po.

enabling Lee to counter with a crisp jab.
Lee lands with a kick to the ribs.
Lee takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Po takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Po throws a body shot but no joy.
Beck Lee seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Lee moves into the clinch.
Lee wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Po working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Lee is trying to break the clinch but Po is controlling him.
Po presses Lee against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Lee prevents a body shot from Po.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Po.
A frustrated look appears on Po's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Po tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lee prevents a body shot from Po.

Po goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Po fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Lee wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Po misses with a punch to the body.
Po lands a body punch in the clinch.
Lee wants to break the clinch but can't.
A nice left hand lands by Po.
Po lands an uppercut.
Po swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Po working hard to break the clinch.
Po doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lee has had enough of the clinch but Po keeps him there for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Po missing with a left hand there. Lee was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Despite the aggression on Lee's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Po rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lee counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Po thinking.
Lee connects with a right hand. Po shakes it off.
Lee slips a straight right by Po.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Po pushes him off.
Po avoids the head kick by Lee.
Nice defenses there by Lee.
Po falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lee counters with a stiff right hand.
Lee is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Some wild striking there from Po.
Po rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Lee to counter with a crisp jab.
Lee lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Lee counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Po thinking.
Po throws a poor cross that misses
and Lee counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Po misses with a leg kick
and Lee counters with a nice uppercut.
Po misses with a hook. Lee ducked under it nicely.
It seemed like Lee was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Beck Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
