Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Lee (ranked 24948 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phy Ter (ranked 4459 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, William Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phy Ter!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots in but Ter avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ter throws a series of strikes that have Lee backpedaling.
Ter stuffs the takedown.
Despite the aggression on Ter's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Ter shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Ter escapes and gets back to his feet.
Ter tries to clinch there but Lee circles away.
Lee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ter lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ter's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ter's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Lee goes for a double leg but Ter avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ter continues to drive forward.
As Lee backs off Ter throws a huge counter combo but Lee manages to avoid it all.

Ter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lee moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nice defenses there by Lee.
Lee closes the distance and clinches up with Ter, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes Ter against the cage but Ter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lee tries to clinch up but Ter circles away and keeps his distance.
Lee throws a body punch but Ter moves out of range.
Lee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Phy Ter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee is breathing heavily.

Ter closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lee quickly recovers to half guard.

Ter stands up out of the half guard.
Lee misses with a head kick.
Ter is looking for the big counter here.
Ter scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lee in his tracks.

Lee moves in looking to clinch but Ter pushes him off.

Ter forces Lee back against the cage and clinches.

Ter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ter gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ter tries to break the clinch but Lee is controlling the position.
Lee is looking to take this one to the mat.
Ter gets underhooks to prevent Lee's takedown attempt.

Ter breaks from the clinch.

Ter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Lee manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Ter keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Ter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lee did well to prevent Ter getting side control.
Lee pushes Ter off but Ter dives into side control.

Ter stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ter lands with a nice combination. Lee backs away looking to recover.

Lee manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ter on his heels. He'll look to pass Ter's guard now, I'm sure.

Ter has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lee has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Some wild striking there from Ter.
Lee misses with a jab, cross combination.
A punch combination from Ter misses.
Ter tries to bum rush Lee with a series of wild strikes but Lee uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lee circles away quickly and effectively.

Ter bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lee's head backwards.
Lee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ter circles away.
Lee fails with the takedown.
Ter looks to land a combination but Lee avoids it well.
A combination from Ter does no damage.

Ter gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lee tries to pull guard but Ter won't allow it.

Ter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ter misses with a wild combination.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lee wants to get back to his feet but Ter is dominant here and he's now got Lee's back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ter swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.
Lee looks for a takedown but Ter sprawls well.
Lee throws a right hand that Ter ducks under and follows up with a left that Ter also avoids with ease.
Despite the aggression on Ter's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Ter misses with a double jab
and Lee finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Ter lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Lee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ter tries to avoid it but Lee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ter to the ground. Ter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ter looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lee shoots for a takedown but Ter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lee scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Ter manages to mount him!

Lee tries to lock up and control but Ter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Ter stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Ter lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ter.

Lee gets caught flat footed, as Ter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ter gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ter scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lee fails to land the takedown.
A combination from Ter does no damage.
Lee avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lee has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Phy Ter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Ter dives in and grabs Lee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes down on Ter's head and hops out.
Lee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ter defends it nicely.
Ter misses with a series of wild punches.
Lee is looking to clinch but Ter is avoiding it.
Danga de danga de dang - Ter scores with a four punch combination!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee slips a jab and a cross from Ter.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Ter, which made it look bad.
Lee is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ter.
Ter feints a jab promting Lee to slip. Ter then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lee slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Ter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lee.
Lee slips a jab and a cross from Ter.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Ter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lee shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ter is trying to defend but Lee finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Lee prevents Ter from standing back up.
Lee thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ter's head.

Lee moves in looking to clinch but Ter pushes him off.

A decent looking cross lands there for Ter.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lee is defended easily by Ter.
Lee drops his hands momentarily and Ter takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Phy Ter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
