Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Cook! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Tripolini! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A low kick from Cook misses and Tripolini counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Cook rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tripolini moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cook throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice side step and Tripolini releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Tripolini scores with a jab to the body. Tripolini looks to score with a jab to the body but Cook is just out of range. Cook pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tripolini scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cook misses with a left hand and Tripolini counters by moving into the clinch. Cook looking to slow down the pace here. Tripolini lands a nice knee to the body. Cook takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like James Cook has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tripolini lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Tripolini lands a nice shot to the body. Tripolini presses Cook against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Cook is breathing heavily. Knees in the clinch landing for Tripolini.

Tripolini throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Cooks head. Nice elbow from Tripolini. Tripolini creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cook's defenses. A knee to the head by Tripolini.

James Cook's cut is getting worse. Cook takes an elbow to the temple. Oh Cook is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This has been an exciting period of action! Tripolini lands an elbow just above Cook 's eye. Tripolini has Cook pressed against the cage. He pushes Cook back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Tripolini throws a beautiful elbow that sends Cook crashing to the floor! Tripolini piles on the pressure with more strikes! Cook is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Tripolini! Sam Tripolini made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I gotta admit, I really thought I was the greatest fighter of all time but then my last two fights humbled me. I'm back and focused.'.
