Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Louis Lutz (ranked 5787 p4p, 415 weight class) and Toa Tinoisamoa (ranked 5705 p4p, 409 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Toa Tinoisamoa was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lutz shoots in for a takedown but Tinoisamoa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tinoisamoa fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lutz sprawls well initially but Tinoisamoa persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lutz moves into full guard.
Lutz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tinoisamoa manages to get himself to full guard.
Lutz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lutz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tinoisamoa for as long as he can get away with.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lutz pushes Tinoisamoa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tinoisamoa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Lutz's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Lutz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tinoisamoa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tinoisamoa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tinoisamoa lands in his opponent's guard.
Tinoisamoa is fighting to break Lutz's control of his arms but Lutz is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Tinoisamoa lands a left and a right that send Lutz crashing to the mat, dazed. Tinoisamoa thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Louis Lutz has been cut.
Toa Tinoisamoa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tinoisamoa is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lutz can't fight it off and eventually Tinoisamoa manages to take the fight to the floor. Lutz looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lutz is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Tinoisamoa presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Lutz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tinoisamoa gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Tinoisamoa is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Lutz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tinoisamoa defends it easily.

Tinoisamoa postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Lutz covers up, he's hurt! Tinoisamoa keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Tinoisamoa and the ref steps in to end the fight! Tinoisamoa can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
