Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Detektyw Pikachu (ranked 4424 p4p, 444 weight class) and Caspar Milquetoast (ranked 2286 p4p, 278 weight class). Detektyw Pikachu is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Detektyw Pikachu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Caspar Milquetoast! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pikachu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Milquetoast.
Milquetoast misses with a lunging right hand
and Pikachu counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Milquetoast! Pikachu moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Pikachu working away. Milquetoast is not content to let Pikachu control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Milquetoast is positioning himself to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Milquetoast gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Pikachu wants to take a breather but Milquetoast is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pikachu in particular looking to stall. Pikachu's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Milquetoast gets full guard. Pikachu is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Milquetoast tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pikachu trying to control but Milquetoast is working from the bottom. Pikachu tries to free his leg and advance position but Milquetoast is retaining full guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Milquetoast lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Pikachu keeping moving, preventing Milquetoast from controlling successfully. Milquetoast wants to get up but he can't break Pikachu's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Pikachu is trying to control the position but Milquetoast postures up. Milquetoast trying to control but Pikachu is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Pikachu is trying to control the position but Milquetoast postures up. Milquetoast throwing strikes but missing. Milquetoast postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Caspar Milquetoast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Milquetoast throws a nice looking combination but Pikachu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pikachu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Milquetoast swivels and escapes. Milquetoast looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pikachu closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pikachu lands in his opponent's guard. Pikachu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Milquetoast swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pikachu slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Milquetoast wants to sweep but no luck. Pikachu controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Pikachu wants to control from the top but Milquetoast keeps moving. Milquetoast trying to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Milquetoast being controlled here, momentarily. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Caspar Milquetoast is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pikachu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Milquetoast's waist but Milquetoast gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pikachu off to one side. Milquetoast lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Detektyw Pikachu has been cut. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Milquetoast throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pikachu counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Pikachu is stalling here. Milquetoast is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Pikachu seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Milquetoast has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Milquetoast wants to stand but Pikachu has his arm trapped. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Detektyw Pikachu will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Detektyw Pikachu's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Milquetoast throws a head kick that misses. Pikachu steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Milquetoast. Milquetoast tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pikachu was well out of range. Poor timing from Milquetoast. Pikachu looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Milquetoast controlling the position for now. Pikachu seems to be looking for submissions.
Milquetoast wants to improve his position but Pikachu is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pikachu is looking to take a break and control but Milquetoast is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Milquetoast slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Milquetoast keeping moving, preventing Pikachu from controlling successfully. Milquetoast tries to land a sweep but no joy. Milquetoast controlling the position. Pikachu seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Milquetoast not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A shot to the body from Milquetoast misses and Pikachu counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Milquetoast is trying to stand.
Pikachu is looking to stall here but Milquetoast recovers full guard. Milquetoast is trying to keep Pikachu in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pikachu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Milquetoast manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pikachu has Milquetoast in his guard.
Detektyw Pikachu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pikachu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Milquetoast is aware though and is defending well. Milquetoast trying to control but Pikachu is working from the bottom. Pikachu is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Milquetoast trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Milquetoast must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Milquetoast decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Milquetoast misses with a hook. Pikachu ducked under it nicely. Pikachu fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Pikachu has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Nice takedown defense from Milquetoast. No joy for Pikachu on that attempt. Milquetoast scores with a hook to the body. Pikachu takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Pikachu is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Milquetoast feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pikachu's calf. Oooooh!!! Milquetoast has knocked Pikachu down with a huge combo! Milquetoast steps away and waves a wobbly Pikachu back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Pikachu is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pikachu is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Milquetoast doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Pikachu crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Pikachu's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Caspar Milquetoast!
