Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ewart Soso (ranked 5614 p4p, 134 weight class) and Dand Prem (ranked 5611 p4p, 136 weight class). Ewart Soso could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dand Prem's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ewart Soso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dand Prem!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prem throws a sloppy head kick and Soso moves out of range easily.
Soso lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Prem circles away quickly and effectively.
Prem dives in for a single leg takedown but Soso sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
Soso throws a head kick that misses.
Prem tries to counter with a clinch but Soso shakes him off and moves away.
Soso shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Prem sprawls well. Prem wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Soso gets slowly back to his feet.
Prem shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Soso defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Soso fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Prem will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Some wild striking there from Prem.
Prem misses with a two punch combination.
Prem throws a head kick but Soso moves out of range.
No luck for Soso with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ewart Soso. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Left hook, right uppercut from Soso.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Prem.

Prem fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Soso, pushing him back against the ropes.

Soso's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Soso clinches up with Prem and pushes him back against the ropes.
Prem tries to score a body lock takedown but Soso shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Prem fails to pull guard.

Soso breaks from the clinch.

Prem tries to keep at a distance but Soso has taken the fight into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Soso tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Prem smiles and moves away.
Prem fails to land the takedown.
Prem misses with a takedown attempt

and Soso counters by clinching up.
Soso tries a knee to the head but Prem blocks it.

Soso escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Prem shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Prem will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Soso darts in and clinches Prem up against the ropes.
Prem is trying to drag Soso to the mat but Soso just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
Prem looks winded!
Soso is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Prem is keeping busy.
Soso tries to land knees in the clinch but Prem avoids the damage to the body.
Soso is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Prem is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Soso gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Prem tries to pull guard but Soso won't allow it.

Prem jumps into guard, dragging Soso to the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Soso accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Soso preventing the sweep.
Soso is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Soso trying to control but Prem is working from the bottom.
Soso is looking to work some ground and pound but Prem has wrist control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Soso trying to control the position from guard on top but Prem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Soso throwing strikes but missing.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ewart Soso dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Soso shoots for a double leg takedown but Prem sprawls well. He's pushed Soso's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Soso slaps away a takedown attempt from Prem, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Prem shoots for a takedown but Soso saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Soso drops Prem with a beautiful combination! Prem stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Soso is looking for the KO!


Prem is rocked!
Soso seems to be stalking Prem here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Prem drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ewart Soso!
