The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wangchuck fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hilo sprawls well initially but Wangchuck persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hilo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hilo tries to get out of the position. Wangchuck maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hilo could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Wangchuck has cracked it and Hilo is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Wangchuck!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lotay Wangchuck! Lotay Wangchuck decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
