Hills uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Avalon. Avalon misses with a head kick.
Avalon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hills counters with a series of strikes. Avalon will be more careful next time no doubt. Avalon tries to clinch up but Hills circles away and keeps his distance. Avalon looks to land a left hand but Hills moved out of range nicely. Hills looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.#TD# Hills gets a takedown into half guard.#SUB# Hills is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Avalon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hills. #SUB# Hills is working for a submission of some sort.

#R1##TD2# Hayden shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hayden was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hills tries to bench press Hayden off him but Hayden keeps the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hayden working away. Hayden is looking to take a break and control but Hills is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hills is trying to control Hayden's posture but Hayden avoids it. Hayden wants to control but Hills is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hills is trying to improve his position. Hayden is chipping away with strikes.

Hayden takes a shot to the body in his stride.
#TD# Hills closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hills lands in his opponent's guard. Hayden looks winded! Hayden has momentary wrist control but Hills slips an elbow through the middle.#T4# Hills landing some decent shots from guard. Hayden has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hills has passed into side control.
#SUB# Hills is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hayden is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. #SUB# Hayden is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hills's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Hills! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Hayden has tapped! This one is allllll over!

After the fight, Trey Hills was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

#R1# Hills misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
#TD# Hills decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Hills is thwarting Sixx 's attempts to control the position. Hills is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hills is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hills working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hills stalling. Sixx trying to hold on to Hills's head to control him but Hills postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sixx tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Hills manages to move to mount!

Hills buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Suf moves out of range as Hills throws a body kick.
Suf is looking to slow Hills down with leg kicks. We've been told by Suf's head coaches at Hey Steves Fight Shack that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Hills has a takedown stuffed. Suf throws a quick counter kick to the body but Hills avoids it. Hills fails to land with a series of punches.
Suf throws a sloppy head kick and Hills moves out of range easily. Suf moves out of range of the leg kick from Hills. Trey Hills seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A solid body kick from Suf. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Suf. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hills is looking to score with low kicks. Hills misses with a body kick. Hills has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Hills takes a shot right to the bread basket. Hills tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Suf scores with a push kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hills rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Suf moves out of range and avoids them all easily.#T1# Suf cracks Hills with a right hand to the side of the head. Hills will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Good standup being displayed there by Suf as he connects with a hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Suf connects with a body shot that sends Hills's belly button to the back. Hills looks winded! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hills. Bob Suf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trey Hills.#T2# Suf throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hills needs to keep his hands up - Suf had a free shot at his head there. Suf fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Suf lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hills will feel that in the morning. Suf just misses with a punch to the body.

Hills will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Suf swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Hills is still on wobbly legs! Can Suf finish him? Suf looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Suf backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Hills's temple! It sends Hills violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Suf celebrates and the doctors try to help Hills!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Bob Suf! Trey Hills spoke after the fight, saying 'Don't fear failure. Not failure, but low aim, is the crime. In great attempts it is glorious even to fail. I will be back & will be better.

#R1##TD2# Hills drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hills cracks Whaley with a big right hand but Whaley just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
#SUB2# Hills is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Whaley has escaped the position, nice work there. Hills scores with punches from side control. Whaley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hills on the ground. Hills is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. #SUB2# Hills is working to tighten his grip on Whaley's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Whaley has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hills is really squeezing tight and eventually Whaley passes out! Hills breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

#R1# Banzai takes a kick to the side of the head.#CUT# It looks like Jojo Banzai has been cut. Hills moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Hills stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hills wants it to stay on the feet. Hills moves out of range of the leg kick from Banzai. Hills lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Banzai at a distance.
Hills has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Canadian Dragon MMA in the buildup to the fight. Hills lands a jab to the nose.#ROC# Banzai is rocked! Hills connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Banzai to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Hills!

#TD# and Singh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hills won't be happy with that. Singh working the head and body with strikes. The ground and pound from Singh seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Hills takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Singh throwing strikes but Hills manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Hills misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Singh manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hills prevents Singh from improving his position. Hills seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Singh is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. #SU2# Hills decides to return to a standing position. #T1##TD# Singh feints and as Hills raises his hands in defense, Singh changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.#SUB2# Hills has his foot on Singh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Singh works his way back into a safe position though. Singh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hills works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Singh stopping the sweep attempt from Hills. Singh chips away with some ground and pound. Singh landing with the ground and pound. Singh is looking to work some ground and pound but Hills has wrist control.#SUB2# Hills is looking for a triangle here but Singh uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Sangram Singh will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! A left and a right from Hills both land. Nice combination. Singh takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
And that's the end of the fight! Trey Hills comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hills has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
