Wallhead keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
#CUT# It looks like Papy Abedi has been cut. Wallhead throws a shot to the body.
Wallhead throws a looping overhand right but Abedi ducks down to avoid it. Wallhead stuns Abedi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Abedi defending well as Wallhead loads up on a big left hand. Wallhead is looking to clinch but Abedi is avoiding it.
Abedi misses with an uppercut. Wallhead saw that one coming.#CL# Wallhead moves into the clinch.#BC2# Abedi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wallhead throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.#CL# Wallhead closes the distance and clinches. Abedi misses with a short punch on the inside. Wallhead throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Abedis head. Wallhead misses with a punch to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A right hand to the body from Wallhead.

Wallhead's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!#BC2# Abedi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#TD2# Abedi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wallhead tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Abedi is in Wallhead's guard. Abedi passes Wallhead's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Abedi content to control rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Abedi scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Abedi missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Abedi trying to pass the guard but Wallhead defending well. Ground and pound from Abedi. #T2# Wallhead blocking the ground and pound attempt from Abedi. Wallhead definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Abedi lands with a punch from half guard. Wallhead knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Abedi on the ground. Abedi landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Wallhead taking some punishment here, with Abedi in his half guard. Abedi tries to pass to full mount but Wallhead defends it. Abedi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Abedi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Abedi throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Abedi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Abedi tries to pass to full mount but Wallhead defends it. Abedi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #T3# Abedi lands with a punch from half guard. Wallhead keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Abedi in particular looking to stall. Abedi throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Wallhead on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. #T4# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Abedi missing with the ground and pound from half guard. #SUB2# Abedi maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Wallhead could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Abedi has cracked it and Wallhead is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Abedi!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Papy Abedi! A very excited looking Papy Abedi rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

#R1# Wallhead misses with an uppercut. Abedi missing with a left hand there. Wallhead was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. #TD2# Abedi gets a takedown into half guard. Abedi content to control rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Abedi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Abedi lands with a punch from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallhead keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Abedi is nestled in close to Wallhead, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.#T1# Abedi is looking to advance position but Wallhead won't allow it. Abedi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Abedi controlling the action here. Wallhead has hold of Abedi's hands but Abedi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Abedi trying to control the pace. Abedi thows a huge punch but Wallhead dodges it nicely.
