#R1# Goodman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Baez stuffs the takedown. Baez tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.#CL# Goodman closes the distance and clinches. Goodman tries to pull guard but Baez holds him up against the cage and eventually Goodman drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daxx Goodman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Goodman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Goodman wants to break the clinch but can't.

Baez working the head with strikes. #CUT2# It looks like Josh Gates has been cut. Gates can't do much from the bottom here. Gates tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Baez easily slips into full mount! Baez is in the full mount, landing strikes. Baez avoids the attempt from Gates to control. Gates is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Gates keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
