#R1# Balisi shoots in and drives through. Thompson sprawls well. Balisi fails with the takedown#CL# and Thompson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Balisi can't break the clinch.
#BC2# Balisi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Balisi with a lazy takedown attempt and Thompson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Nate Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wang Balisi. Balisi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.#TD2# Balisi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Balisi lands in his opponent's guard.#ES# Thompson has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Balisi is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Thompson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.#BC2# Balisi breaks from the clinch.
Balisi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thompson but Thompson pushes him off and we're back to square one.#CL# Thompson clinches. #T1##BC# Thompson breaks the clinch.
Balisi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thompson tries to avoid it but Balisi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thompson to the ground. Thompson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A head kick misses from Thompson. Thompson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. #CUT# It looks like Wang Balisi has been cut. Balisi looks winded! Balisi fails with the takedown and Thompson counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Balisi! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Thompson!
