Suarez with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carruthers wants to get back to his feet.
#T1# Suarez not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Suarez controlling the action here. Suarez lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. #T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carruthers tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Suarez cranks the arm and Carruthers screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Carruthers, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for German Giles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carruthers is looking to break free of the clinch but Giles has double underhooks. Giles jumps guard but Carruthers stands there with Giles around his waist. Giles gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
