#R1# Gaethje throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Butler counters with a right hand to the body. Butler tries to bum rush Gaethje with a series of wild strikes but Gaethje uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gaethje throws a head kick that Butler semi-blocks.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gaethje looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Gaethje misses with a low kick. Gaethje fails in his attempt to clinch. Gaethje throws a head kick that misses and Butler connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Butler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Butler wants it to stay on the feet. Butler lands with a nice body punch. Butler circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gaethje with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Butler connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Gaethje tries to land a leg kick but Butler saw it coming and moves away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Butler cracks a nice hook into Gaethje's ribs. Gaethje walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Butler checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. As Gaethje looks to move away, Butler throws a big counter combo but Gaethje just gets out of the way. Gaethje scores with the left hand. Butler knows he should have avoided that one. #T1# Gaethje connects with a right hand. Butler shakes it off. A punch combination from Gaethje misses. Gaethje tries a low kick but Butler avoids it. Gaethje looks winded!#KD# Butler cracks Gaethje with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Butler has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gaethje to stand back up!#ROC# Gaethje is rocked! A shot to the liver by Butler. Beautiful body shot. Gaethje is still on wobbly legs! Can Butler finish him? Butler throws an uppercut from hell that sends Gaethje clean off his feet! He's out cold! Butler stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
