Nice work. #TD# Cooper drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.#ES2# Krueger manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#TD2# Krueger pulls guard. Cooper chips away with some ground and pound. Cooper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cooper slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #T1# Cooper trying to control the position from guard on top but Krueger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Krueger looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. #SUB2# Krueger has his foot on Cooper's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cooper works his way back into a safe position though.#SUB2# Krueger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cooper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cooper won't allow Krueger to sweep him here. #T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.#SUB# Cooper drops back looking for a leg! Krueger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Krueger manages to kick Cooper off! Cooper jumps back into Krueger's guard. Krueger is pulling down on Cooper's head. It's preventing any offense from Cooper, at least for the moment. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Krueger looking for a sweep. Not yet Krueger, not yet. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.#TD# Cooper shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Krueger is trying to defend but Cooper finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Cooper wants to control from the top but Krueger keeps moving. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Krueger can do anything to dispel that myth. Cooper is really struggling to control Krueger but he's trying to hold on to the position.#T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cooper wants to get up but he can't break Krueger's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Cooper wants to control from the top but Krueger keeps moving. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Cooper lets loose with a powerful body kick. Krueger will feel that in the morning. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Krueger misses with a few strikes there.

Volt Krueger dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Krueger manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Cooper is looking to break free of the clinch but Krueger has double underhooks. The fight stays on the outside here - Cooper looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cooper tries to clinch but Krueger moves out of range. Cooper uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Krueger has time to react. Cooper tries a head kick but it misses.
Cooper defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Krueger. Stephen Cooper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Volt Krueger. Krueger avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cooper lands a big elbow. Cooper trying to control but Krueger is having none of it. Krueger slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Krueger wants to get back to full guard. Cooper wants to free his trapped foot but Krueger is holding on for dear life with his legs. Volt Krueger has got the better of the ground game so far.#T3##SUB# Cooper is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Krueger sees it coming and defends easily. Krueger wants to control but Cooper is keeping busy.
Cooper seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Krueger does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Krueger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Krueger has hold of Cooper's hands but Cooper slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.#T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cooper is just content to waste time from the top position. Krueger takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Krueger seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. #SU# Krueger is working an open guard so Cooper takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Cooper tries to close the distance and clinch but Krueger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Stephen Cooper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Krueger swats away the attempt to clinch by Cooper. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#TD# Cooper gets a double leg takedown into Krueger's guard.#ES2# Krueger pushes Cooper off and gets back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Volt Krueger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Krueger has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A combination from Castillo does no damage. Cooper with the counter takedown but Castillo avoids it easily. Castillo thuds his shin into the meat of Cooper's side. A solid body kick from Castillo. Cooper looks winded! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cooper. Castillo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Castillo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cooper at a distance.

Cooper chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Castillo can pounce on him.
#CL# Castillo rushes Cooper and presses him up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cooper has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A short uppercut from Castillo. #CUT# It looks like Stephen Cooper has been cut. A short right from Castillo. #KD# Castillo drops Cooper onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Cooper is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!#ROC# Cooper is rocked! Cooper is trapped in a tight thai clinch here. Castillo pulls him left and then right before unleashing a vicious knee to the head. Oh damn - Cooper is out cold! That's some serious business! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Ricardo Castillo! A relieved looking Ricardo Castillo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
