#R1# Hardcastle ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hardcastle steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Emelianenko. Hardcastle's coach down at Bruize Brothaz was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hardcastle's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Emelianenko goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Emelianenko is looking to clinch but Hardcastle is avoiding it.
Emelianenko has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. A big left from Emelianenko misses. Emelianenko connects with the punch. Hardcastle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Let's hope that Hardcastle has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Ground and pound from Hardcastle. Hardcastle looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Emelianenko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #T4# Emelianenko gets back to full guard.
Hardcastle lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hardcastle loads up on a big left hand. Emelianenko felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Hardcastle looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Emelianenko can't hide his disappointment, as Hardcastle celebrates the victory.

#R1# Dawson lands a nice looking kick to the body. Emelianenko takes a step back to recover. #TD2# Dawson gets caught flat footed, as Emelianenko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Emelianenko prevents Dawson from getting back to his feet. Dawson keeping moving, preventing Emelianenko from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Emelianenko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. #ES# Dawson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Emelianenko off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Dawson throws a head kick that Emelianenko semi-blocks.

and Dawson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Emelianenko's knee momentarily. Emelianenko throws out a loose jab but Dawson uses good head movement to avoid it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Emelianenko swings away with a body shot that misses

Chandler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emelianenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
