Borodin connects with a right hand that leaves DeNiro sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Borodin!

Mccarthy feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends DeNiro sprawling to the canvas! DeNiro rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mccarthy finish him?!

Mccarthy lands an uppercut, right on the button! DeNiro tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

and DeNiro counters with a left and a right that stings James.
DeNiro uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from James.
DeNiro half committed to a counter leg kick.
DeNiro looks for a takedown but James sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DeNiro displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as James throws out the jab.

It looked like DeNiro was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

DeNiro is nestled in close to James, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
DeNiro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but James does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
James is in trouble now - DeNiro has advanced to mount!
