Vargas flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Suzuki slips a nice elbow through Vargas's hands, connecting with Vargas's forehead. Suzuki drops an elbow to the side of Vargas's head. Suzuki is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Petrov wants to stand up but Vargas is controlling him. Vargas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Petrov is pulling down on Vargas's head. It's preventing any offense from Vargas, at least for the moment. Vargas preventing the sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petrov has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Vargas is pushing down on Petrov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Petrov is fighting to maintain full guard but Vargas has managed to sneak the leg through.#T1# Petrov tries to roll over but Vargas keeps him under control.
