The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Cash drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Saromenko dives on top into guard.#REVB# Saromenko wants to control from the top but Cash keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cash can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Saromenko controls the pace. Cash doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Saromenko lands a couple of digs. Saromenko tries to stand but Cash is controlling from the bottom. Cash tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Saromenko presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! #SUB2# The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Saromenko has control of Cash's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cash regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kim misses with a leg kick #CL# and Cash counters by clinching up. Cash fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Kim doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kim manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ferreira scores with a jab. Cash acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Ferreira comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Ferreira tries to bum rush Cash with a series of wild strikes but Cash uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ferreira thuds a left hand into Cash's body. Ferreira digs a good hook to Cash's body.
Ferreira lands a jab to Cash's midsection. Cash on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Eusebio Ferreira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#TD2# Ferreira looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ferreira is nestled in close to Cash, controlling him well. #R1# Cash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Old tries to avoid it but Cash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Old to the ground. Old escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cash misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Cash is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position.
