#R1# Sanford misses with a low kick.
Sanford doesn't manage to clinch there - Lo circles away.
Lo throws out a loose jab but Sanford uses good head movement to avoid it. A nice side step and Sanford releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Lo throws a hook to the side of Sanford's head but Sanford sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Lo looks to land a left hand but Sanford moved out of range nicely. Sanford tries to clinch but Lo moves out of range. #TD# Lo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Sanford is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lo stalling away here and it's allowed Sanford to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Sanford is trying to keep Lo in close.

Sanford is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sanford jumps guard but Hot Rod stands there with Sanford around his waist. Sanford gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sanford tries to stall but Hot Rod uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hot Rod as Sanford tries to tie him up. Sanford throws a punch but it's blocked by Hot Rod. Hot Rod cracks Sanford with a nice body shot. Hot Rod scores with a shot to the side of Sanford's head. Sanford doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Sanford tries to pull guard but Hot Rod holds him up against the cage and eventually Sanford drops back down to his feet.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hot Rod creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanford is trying to control. Hot Rod wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hot Rod is trying to stand up here but Sanford is controlling him well. Sanford is trying to control. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hot Rod regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Gunn is looking to stand up but Sanford won't let him. #SU2# Gunn stands up from guard. Let's bang! Sanford tries to work over Gunn's front leg with a kick but Gunn checks it. Gunn unleashes a big counter combination but Sanford bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.#CL# Sanford clinches with his opponent.

Sanford jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gunn walks away with a smile on his face. Sanford gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sanford throws a leg kick and Gunn counters with a nice uppercut. Sanford throws a poor cross that misses
and Gunn counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Sanford walks into a stiff left hand from Gunn. This has been an exciting period of action! Sanford throws an overhand right that lands on Gunn's shoulder, as Gunn tries to avoid the shot. Gunn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sanford throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Gunn cracks Sanford with a good jab.#CL# Sanford drives through and clinches with Gunn against the cage.
#TD# Sanford has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gunn uses from the top position. Gunn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanford. #R1# Horrible takedown attempt by Hayworth or perhaps it was just good defense by Sanford, which made it look bad. It looked like Sanford wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.#CL# Sanford closes the distance and clinches. Sanford misses with a body punch.
