Sykes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Janvokski is one step ahead there. Janvokski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sykes swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sykes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. #R1# Hartmann misses with an uppercut. Sykes tries to land a front kick but Hartmann steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Sykes shoots for a double leg takedown but Hartmann sprawls well. He's pushed Sykes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. It seemed like Hartmann was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Hartmann is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sykes. Hartmann connects with a crisp jab. #CUT2# It looks like Dewayne Sykes has been cut. Sykes gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Hartmann walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Sykes drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Hartmann swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Sykes's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
