Aiden darts in looking for a takedown but Cape gets double underhooks and turns Aiden into the ropes.
Aiden shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cape defends it nicely.
Aiden slips under a jab from Cape.
Aiden appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Cape lands a jab.
Aiden could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Aiden shoots in for a takedown but Cape shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Cape has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aiden can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Aiden is looking to work some ground and pound but Cape has wrist control.

Aiden drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aiden jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ryan Tubridy (ranked 22065 p4p, 349 weight class) and Jack Aiden (ranked 4257 p4p, 198 weight class). Tubridy comes to the cage accompanied by Late Late theme tune. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

In the red corner, competing out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Ryan Tubridy! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jack Aiden!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.

Tubridy pushes Aiden up against the cage in a clinch.
Aiden drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tubridy gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Tubridy gets control of Aiden's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tubridy will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tubridy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Aiden's guard.

Tubridy is working for a submission of some sort.

Tubridy is looking for a kimura but Aiden is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tubridy to get the leverage.

Tubridy wants to work for an arm triangle but Aiden is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aiden can do anything to dispel that myth.

Tubridy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Aiden doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tubridy.
Aiden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tubridy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tubridy is working for a submission of some sort.

Tubridy has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Aiden defend it? Tubridy steps over the head and cranks it - Aiden is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Tubridy!

In his post fight interview, Ryan Tubridy started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Aiden closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Aiden lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Aiden postures up in Tavi's guard and throws a big left but Tavi blocks it.

Aiden drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Aiden seems to have locked his on tight now - Tavi screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Aiden, as he picks up the win!
