Pate tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Modric defends well and Pate ends up having to push Modric into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Despite the aggression on Modric's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Modric pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pate is out of range and Modric settles back down.
