letting Kruschev counter with a right hand. #CUT# It looks like David Dedmon has been cut. Dedmon tries to clinch up but Kruschev circles away and keeps his distance. Dedmon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A decent looking cross lands there for Kruschev. Kruschev dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dedmon. That did some damage! The fight stays on the outside here - Dedmon looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dedmon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kruschev.
Donk. Kruschev catches Dedmon right on the button with a cross. Dedmon looks to score with a jab to the body but Kruschev is just out of range. David Dedmon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice uppercut lands for Kruschev. That snapped Dedmon's head back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dedmon creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Mccray's defenses. #CUT2# It looks like Leandro Mccray has been cut. Dedmon tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

That is naaassty. Dedmon is looking to reverse the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Avery working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dedmon takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Dedmon manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Avery slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Avery can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dedmon controls the pace. Dedmon wants to control from the top but Avery keeps moving. #T1# Dedmon wants to stand and escape but instead Avery has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. #REVR# Dedmon pulls Avery in close to his closed guard and prevents Avery from doing any damage or advancing position. He's locked up a Kimura from the bottom and has used it to sweep! He's held on to the kimura and is looking to finish here... will he get it... YES! Dedmon taps out and the crowd goes crazy! Great finish!

#R1# Ruiz shoots in and drives through. Dedmon sprawls well. Ruiz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.#CL2# Dedmon closes the distance and clinches. Dedmon lands a right hand. #CUT2# It looks like Maximo Ruiz has been cut. Dedmon is defending well against a takedown attempt. A right handed body shot lands from Dedmon.
Ruiz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#TD2# Dedmon jumps into guard, dragging Ruiz to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruiz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ruiz preventing the sweep. #SU# Ruiz stands up and waves to Dedmon to follow him. #T1##TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Ruiz enables Dedmon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ruiz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ruiz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dedmon won't allow Ruiz to sweep him here. Dedmon trying to control but Ruiz is working from the bottom. Dedmon looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Dedmon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. #T2# Ruiz is pulling down on Dedmon's head. It's preventing any offense from Dedmon, at least for the moment. Dedmon is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... Dedmon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ruiz haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.#T4# Ruiz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dedmon controls the pace. Ruiz has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Dedmon sitting in guard here, content to control. That's going to take a lot out of David Dedmon. Dedmon with a lazy takedown attempt and Ruiz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Dedmon leaves Ruiz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dedmon! But no joy. And that's the end of the fight! David Dedmon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dedmon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
