and Rishkinov counters with a good, hard body kick but Steiner shrugs it off.
Steiner shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Rishkinov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rishkinov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Steiner takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Serhey Rishkinov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
John Steiner spoke after the fight, saying 'You see that win was a fluke! I'll be back to avenge this loss at next year's SACRIFICE!'.

Swango lands a left and a right that send Steiner crashing to the mat, dazed. Swango thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#CUT#
It looks like John Steiner has been cut.
Steiner gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Swango counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steiner thinking.
Steiner doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Swango counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Steiner off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Swango follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Steiner was out before he hit the floor.

A very excited looking Michael Swango made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
