We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ricoop tries to get out of the position. Ricoop trying to keep a closed guard but You Man is proving a slippery customer.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. #SUB2# You Man thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ricoop tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Atkinson just stands there and leans against the cage. Atkinson is trying to break the clinch but Ricoop has him pressed against the cage. Ricoop fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Atkinson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Ricoop stalling in the clinch but Atkinson improves position. Atkinson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ricoop avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Ricoop takes an elbow to the forehead. #TD# Atkinson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Atkinson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ricoop with a couple of shots to the head there. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Steele uses from the top position. Steele trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Steele really is a fat lump. Ricoop is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Steele wanted to stand there but Ricoop had control of the position. #SUB2# Ricoop looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Ricoop lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Workman pulls Ricoop in close to prevent any damage. #TD# Ricoop drives through with a takedown into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bomberman can do anything to dispel that myth. Ricoop is fighting to break Bomberman's control of his arms but Bomberman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.#SU# Ricoop gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Ricoop takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
