#R1##CL2# Scheldt closes the distance and pushes Morales back into the cage. A frustrated look appears on Morales's face as he tries to break the clinch. #TD2# Scheldt lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Scheldt tries to pass to full mount but Morales defends it. Scheldt is figuring out what he wants to do next. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scheldt throws a strike but Morales avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Scheldt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Morales wants to sweep but no luck. #T1# Morales controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Morales wants to stand but Scheldt is controlling the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Scheldt controls the pace of the fight for a moment.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.#TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Morales enables Scheldt to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Morales manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.#ES# Morales has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Scheldt has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Morales is trying to pull guard but Scheldt has him pressed against the cage.#TD2# Scheldt has picked Morales up - he's going for a ride! Scheldt dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.#ES# Morales makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Scheldt walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Morales checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. It looked like Morales was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Sim Scheldt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD2# Scheldt drives through with a takedown into Morales's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.#T2# Scheldt pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Morales is keeping the position for now. Scheldt is fighting to break Morales's control of his arms but Morales is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Morales working a defensive guard but Scheldt manages to pass into side control anyway.
Morales wants to control but Scheldt postures up. Scheldt landing strikes. Morales parries the strikes from Scheldt easily there. Scheldt is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Morales to escape.
Morales tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Scheldt wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Morales has one of Scheldt's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.#T3# Scheldt looks up at the clock and then as Morales takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Scheldt smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
#SU2# Scheldt decides to stand back up. #CL2# Morales tries to keep at a distance but Scheldt has taken the fight into the clinch. Morales tries to pull guard but Scheldt won't allow it.
Morales crunches a lovely knee into Scheldt's ribcage.#T4# Morales prevents a takedown attempt there.
Morales fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Burl Morales. That's going to take a lot out of him. Scheldt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Morales fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Scheldt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Scheldt looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Scheldt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Morales but Morales pushes him off and we're back to square one.#CL2# Scheldt closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Morales tries to circle away but Scheldt has him pinned against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sim Scheldt will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. #R2# Morales tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Scheldt defends well and Morales ends up having to push Scheldt into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.#KD2# Scheldt lands a big head kick that sends Morales tumbling to the mat! Scheldt takes a step backwards and waves Morales back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC2# Morales is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Burl Morales has been cut.#TD2# Scheldt closes the distance looking for a takedown. Scheldt picks Morales up and slams him brutally to the floor. Morales is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!
