Simpson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Simpson misses with a takedown attempt - Hardin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Vance Hardin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ovie Simpson.
Simpson darts in looking for a takedown but Hardin gets double underhooks and turns Simpson into the cage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gobert enables Simpson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gobert manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Simpson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gobert swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gobert can't keep his opponent in guard - Simpson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Simpson has hold of Gobert's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Gobert seems comfortable defending it but Simpson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Gobert is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Gobert is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Simpson couldn't care less - he's delighted!
