We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Larousse has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Larousse changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gardet tries to avoid it but Larousse manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gardet to the ground. Gardet escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gagnon throws a body punch but Larousse moves out of range.
Larousse tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Larousse ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gagnon moves away.
Gagnon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Gagnon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Larousse was well out of range. Poor timing from Gagnon.
Gagnon throws a wild body kick that Larousse sees coming a mile off.
Gagnon connects with a single shot there.
Larousse looks to land a left hand but Gagnon moved out of range nicely.
Larousse takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Gagnon feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Larousse's calf.
