Abdul Raheem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Raheem throws out a loose jab but Cannon uses good head movement to avoid it. #TD# Cannon looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Cannon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cannon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. #R1# A head kick misses from Tequesas. It looked like Cannon was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Tequesas misses with a two punch combination.
Cannon moves forwards but Tequesas connects with a nice, crisp jab. Tequesas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Tequesas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tequesas has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Cannon is landing a low percentage of strikes. Cannon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tequesas scores with a head kick. Cannon tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Cannon avoids the head kick by Tequesas.

#CL2# Tequesas gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Tequesas lands a nice elbow. This has been an exciting period of action! Tequesas comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Stalling in the clinch from Cannon.

The fight stays on the outside here - Blums looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Blums lands with a slapping head kick. #CUT2# It looks like Eliseo Cannon has been cut.#TD2# Blums closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Cannon is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Blums scores with a couple of nice shots. Blums is thwarting Cannon's attempts to control the position. Blums wants to stand up but Cannon is controlling the position.
